So my echo got pushed back to January 8th meaning today was truly a day off...well pretty much. I had this weekend off, but I spent my time working away on stuff and chores so it didn't feel like much of a break. Monday I had a twelve hours shift, starting at 5am, thus I was wore out last night and happy to spend the evening at home doing nothing. So today, I took full advantage and didn't do anything too stressful. I picked up my missing ingredients for sugar cookies for Friday. I'll make the dough on Wednesday, bake them Thursday, and then Friday (I again have another twelve hour day at work ahead of me) they will be ready to role in time to hit up Mitch and Stacy's. Hooray for baking! I also baked a super duper yummy cake from scratch this weekend, but that is neither here nor there. I did knit Lucy a super cute hat for her stocking, as seen above! My little valentine will live up to her name, look adorable as ever, and stay warm. Woohoo! Now if I could just somehow master the elusive art of getting to bed on time. In the meantime, Team Cope is also busy working out new schedules. Sean found a nifty little gig to get us through the next few months. Plus class in February, and my schedule will stay random until after the holidays. On top of that Miss Lucy is adjusting to her teeth and possibly to one nap a day. Which means we are going to try and work it out so that everyone gets to where they need to be and the rest to make them happy. Life is just easier when you have a schedule to work off of when a little on is involved. Wish us luck. Beyond the hectic fun of everyday life, I think the holiday fever is making its way into our home. Decorations have been up for a while, but music and films are creeping their way in too. Kids can make everything seem new again, and having the stroke puts a shiny back on things too. All in all I am hoping/expecting good times ahead. Now off to dry my hair and bed...that's the plan anyway. ;)
