Another phenomenon to hit our house is Coraline. Its a cute, and of a bit scary movie that Lucy has fallen head over heels for. (I dare say I am to Penelope as Lucy is to Coraline.) So if we see anything revolving around the darling protagonist Lucy shouts "LINE!" And the lovely "other father" song done by They Might Be Giants may only be just over 30 seconds long, but that won't stop Lucy from rocking out to it 12 times in a row. Something we, as well as Kristen, Kelly, and Katie, can knowingly concur. Regardless, its a fun show about how things are not always as they seem. Coraline discovers another or "other" world. Where everything is lovely and happy, but is that only on the surface?! Anyway, great fun, and its a great gateway into non picture books. As it turns out the movie is based on a story by Neil Gaiman. So I'm reading it to Lucy chapter by chapter, such fun! Also fun, and slightly disturbing are these "other" portraits of us that I did using the website for Coraline.
