Right as rain It's harder When you're on top

So last night Adele played at the Murray, and alas I could not go. Its one of those super sad things about being a parent and well poor. The ticket itself was probably within reach, like $12, but I couldn't get there nor did I have the time. While I adore my darling Lucy sometimes it bums me out to have to be so
"responsible." Going to shows and music is/was kinda my outlet. Honestly the last shows I went to was while I was prego. Anyway, its the choice I made, and I have to remind myself that as she gets older I can just take her with me. Because she seems to love music as much as I do. Although through my lamenting Lucy worked hard on counting...this kiddo will not cease to amaze me. Its only to three but still at 17 months?! She's not a super genius but I think she'll qualify as smart for sure. So she perked me up a bit as she does, and reminded me of something. When I took on the mom and wife role I made a promise to myself that I would excel at them. That I would be the best mother and wife I can. That I would support and encourage, and I think I have. I'm not the best mother ever by far, but I am a proud parent of a wonderful girl who is happy, healthy, and a delight to be around. She's not running around unsupervised or looking like a street urchin. She's sociable and well natured. So I think I can say so far so good, although I am sure luck has something to do with it. As for Sean, we've got issues just like everyone, but none of them have to do with our relationship. That is as solid as always, and we are sill best friends. So I do lament not going to Adele, but I think what I've got going on is way better anyway. I guess I also owe a bit of thanks to iTunes for getting me out of this rut.
