wait for the stone on your window

The perfect winter album, or at least up there on the list, is definitely The Decemberists "the crane wife." I'm listening to it and am reminded why their t shirt was Lucy's first concert souvenir. (Although does it technically count if I was pregers and only like four or five months along?) Regardless, it rocks and I love it.
Lucy is taking a nap and I'm waiting for her to wake up before I start cooking. Tomorrow is the superbowl so of course a massive amount of food must be assembled. Thus I'm making this Nigella recipe that is a chili with cornbread baked on top of it. I have to make the chili today and let it sit overnight, then tomorrow comes the cornbread. It should be good, and beyond that we'll have all the usual foods that make this one of the best Sundays of the year. As far as the game is concerned, maybe its the similarities between Kurt Warner and Drew. Or the fact that like the Saints, the Cardinals are not traditionally a good team. But damn it all if I don't want Arizona to stomp Pittsburgh! I think I'm still bitter about the WORST SUPERBOWL in history a few years back. Seattle was robbed by blatantly bad calls and all out cheating of the Steelers. Ugh, go Cardinals!

Random side note - I adore washable markers. Lucy went to town on a little project we've been working on. When it was time to pick up a wet cloth and she, I, as well as the table were clean as a whistle. Thanks Crayola.
