So I just had to console a tiny tantrum. Lucy was making an naked dash to the potty and didn't quite make it. Nay, instead she peed in front of said potty, which didn't really make a mess as it was caught by her "hoo hoo" pajamas she was caring at the time. However, the crisis came when I told her that she would be unable to wear those pj's cause they were now, by both mine and society's standards, dirty. I gather all the years I've spent in behavioral health can come in handy with parenting. Rationalizing with someone who is psychotic and someone who is a toddler can be disturbingly similar. Thus her favorite night time gear will make its way through the laundering process. Its only awesome because said pajamas are little boys ones, some camp theme. But my girl through and through, she loves them because they have blue and green and owls...what's not to love?!
Another highlight from tonight was having the house to ourselves, not unusual for Friday as Sean has to work and the rest of the family tends to have date night sans L&l, and we were eating dinner and listening to music. Singing, dancing utensils (controlled by Lucy not myself,) and a polished off dinner plates - both Lucy and I were satisfied.
Now I'll continue feeding my demanding sudoku habit. The BRILLIANT one a day sudoku calendar Brett got me for Christmas and the newspapers aren't sufficing any longer. Nah I've also delved into the world of online sudoku to quieten my fix. There is something peaceful about last fm and sudoku. I can always take the weekend to work on the presentation I have to do for Feb staff meeting...right?!
