it's not me, it's you

There is a miniature British invasion going on at my house. I don't what that's about. But I've got the new Lily Allen album, "It's not me, It's you." And its wonderful. I would recommend it highly. Although a steady stream of English music makes it way through our speakers: The Streets, Oasis, Adele, Bowie, the list is massive (as always.) Its all popped up at once it seemed. Adele won her Grammys. I'm trying my damnedest to stay positive, and "everything is borrowed" is on repeat in my head to remind me of my goal for the year. I've recently discovered the remade series Doctor Who. As a youngster I watched the original, and I am happy to say that this version is just as good, might be better. Liam Neeson is a voice on Sean's Fallout game. There was a horror movie on netflix, Severance. It was fun, had a twist, and of course bloody making for a swell movie. Wanting to share in the glee of a nice romantic comedy, I also told Joye about "Run Fatboy Run." Both, of course, are from the UK. I promise not to pull a Madonna and put on a horrific accent or anything. OH another thing, I made a Nigella recipe for the supper bowl, and I just glanced at the clock above the desk which apparently had the word "Big Ben" on it, WTF! ....careful everyone the Brits aren't just coming, their here!

Beyond my strange unintentional infatuation with the English, I'm super excited for this weekend. I think Sean and I are going to try to have Valentine's on Friday...if Lucy's Grandma (who is ever wonderful about helping us, who wouldn't move back for that kind of support?!) will watch her. We want to go see Friday the 13th remake and have dinner out. If not its cool. We'll probably have family dinner and then of course celebrate more with Lucy on Saturday. BONUS Janae is coming down to let us be her first "paying clients." She is going to do some photos of LV, and I'm thrilled by the idea. Its given me a lite at the end of this week. Which work wise is filled with staff meetings, construction, and busy days. For now though I'm going to listen to more Lily Allen and lament how I should be in bed already!
